Investing into great dividend stocks is an easy way of making a little extra income off of your investment. When you buy a stock that is already giving you a dividend you receive a monthly check for your share of their earnings. The only thing you have to do to make an income this way would be to hold onto the stock.
2. Covered Calls
Writing covered call allows investors to make money from their stock. Whenever you sell a covered call you sell another investor the right to buy your stock from you at a predetermined fixed price at some point in the future. By buying a stock and selling calls on it every month you can make some extra cash flow.
You may be forced to sell the stock at some point in the future, but it can still be a pretty powerful way to make some cash flow.
3. Option Selling
There are a variety of different spreads with options which allow investors to profit in certain creative ways. For instance the Iron condor allows a trader to make money as long as the stock stays between a certain area. Taking advantage of those strategies can lead to a relatively consistent income.
4. Option Buying
Buying option contracts also allows a trader to make a much higher return in the stock market. The goal of buying options is to buy options and sell them at a much higher price in the future. The huge potential of this strategy makes it the most profitable way of trading in the stock market, if you can master it.
5. Day trading
Day trading and swing trading both attempt to make money in short term movements in the market. Over time the profits add up and can even create a livable income. But it does take time to master.
